Be relevant

When it comes to searching for local info, user behavior varies wildly with the type of info that the user searches

While more than half of consumers are now using Internet search engines to locate nearby restaurants, and 56 % are using them to locate nearby retailers, the same isn’t necessarily true for other businesses. For instance, 46% said they use a bank’s website to locate an ATM compared with 24% who use an internet search engine.

Some businesses need to be easily searchable on the web, while others need to have a presence on the user’s device. And in many cases, 3rd party location services are the prime entry point for users. So brands should make sure that they stay relevant, and be present where it matters!
